How Durban's beaches gets its sand
Durban - Every year, thousands of holiday makers descend on Durban - not just for its warm weather...
The South African Weather Service earlier today issued a warning, stating that beachgoers should be wary of adverse sea conditions over the next 24 hours. A heavy swell in excess of some four metres is expected between Port Edward and Kosi Bay. According to the SA Weather Service, the rough conditions are expected from 10 am today until 3 pm tomorrow (December 3 to 4).
Parts of the province (between Port Edward and King Shaka International Airport) have also been served with a weather watch warning for heavy rains. It is expected that the heavy rains will last until 9 pm tonight. The SA Weather Service has warned of the possibility of localised flooding and reduced visibility from the afternoon.
