Sea rescue craft Megan II assisted two Durban North men after their jet-ski suffered engine failure off Pennington recently. The call for help came after an eye-witnesses reported that two men appeared to be in difficulty.
Kevin Fourie, NSRI Station 39, Rocky Bay station commander said the crew rigged a towline and took one of the men onboard their sea rescue craft in three to four metre swells. They then towed the jet-ski and its skipper ashore.
“We commend the eye-witnesses for raising the alarm,” said Mr Fourie.
