The Wildlife Environment Society of South Africa (Wessa) will be launching the 2016/17 National Blue Flag Season. National Department of Tourism Minister Derek Hanekom will deliver the keynote address.
South Coast Tourism spokeswoman Nikki Tilley urged members to pass on the message.
“We request members to notify their guests, given that this event takes place during school holidays. This is a prestigious event which has secured a significant amount of media coverage, from which the South Coast will benefit enormously,” said Tilley.
The event will include the launch of Wessa’s new Tourism Blue Flag project, which is a partnership between the national Department of Tourism and the wildlife organisation, intended to develop new coastal tourism and youth development.
