Durban house crashes one week after storm

Two rooms and the balcony of a Durban home in the Bluff, south of Durban were left in a pile on the garden.

Rescue Care paramedics, Search and Rescue and the Fire Department responded to the scene of the incident.

People at the scene said the double storey house, which faces the ocean, just collapsed.

According to the owner of the house, who was at home at the time of the incident, said he heard a massive sound, only to find the front of the house missing. He also said that from the lounge, he noticed that it was open.

He said he did not know the type of damage done by the storm, which had left his house flooded.

The owner said he is shocked but glad that there were no injuries. However, he did lose a few collectors items.
