Although held on a much smaller scale than previous years, marine lovers had plenty to explore at the various stalls, presentations and activations on Saturday, 26 June at Wessa Treasure Beach.

Attendees got to learn some interesting facts about marine life.

The focus was on environmental education and marine conversation with activations from various organisations including Sodurba, Wessa, WildOceans, Isle of Capri Cruises and KZN Sharks Board. There was also a showcase of the movie, ‘Our Oceans: Return of the giants’, throughout the day.

Event organisers, Helga du Preez and Melissa Lee of Sodurba Tourism, were pleased with all who came together to make the event a success as well as with the community who came out to attend and support the festival.
