Anglers reap great rewards along north coast surf and sea

Anglers working both the deep and shallow waters along the north coast with valid permits, have reaped rewards for their tireless efforts.

The couta have been around in good numbers for the deep sea adventurers, with Zinkwazi being the hot spot during the past week. Getting live bait remains a time-wasting issue, so it is important to get good, freshly dead bait or troll plastics around to get into the thick of things.

Drone anglers have been beating the rock-and-surf guys in terms of number of hookups per cast.

Once again, ensure tackle is up to standard to avoid disappointment. Bait of choice for fish has been mackerel and shad, but anything fresh has also proved successful. – Source: The Kingfisher
