No, it’s not a Chinese trawler but rather a bulk carrier

A bulk carrier ship passing the South Coast this morning (August 7) has caught the attention of many.

The Aquata, travelling from Dar es Salaam in Tanzania, is en route to the port of Durban and was spotted off Port Shepstone at about mid-morning. According to the Aquata is 21 years old, built in 1999 and is currently sailing under the flag of Marshall Islands.

One of its many former names was Stella Fomalhaut, which can be seen on the side of the ship.
