Quick clean-up of Richards Bay beachfront

Amid a sea of broken glass, litter and people who had partied last night (Wednesday) away at Alkantstrand, City of uMhlathuze employees made fast work of this morning’s clean-up operation of the beach, car park and surrounding areas. By 11am, there was no sign that anything had taken place, despite an estimated 70 000 beachgoers on New Year’s Day.
